Raid on Bungeling Bay 3D

The Commodore 64 classic Raid on Bungeling Bay, in 3D.

The object of the game is to bomb all six factories with your attack helicopter.

For the web version, the game needs Chrome based browser, but has been tested on Microsoft Edge and works.

Game mechanics:

  • Bombs will drop automatically when the helicopter is over a factory or enemy ship.
  • Your cannon will automatically fire and auto target enemies. This is the auto target priority:
Bombers > Cruise Missile > Radar Site > AA Gun > Fighters > Enemy Ship
  • You need to reduce speed when trying  to land on the carrier.  Look for the green CAN LAND on helicopter status label.
  • Radar sites in range of your helicopter will lock on and allow AA Guns and Fighters to guarantee to hit your helicopter when they fire. Radar sites have become dangerous now.

Keyboard/mouse game controls:

  • WASD for helicopter controls
  • Right Mouse Button (RMB) drag will rotate camera
  • Mouse wheel controls camera zoom
  • SPACE to land and takeoff

Controller

Controller support is available on the web, but you have to switch to DirectInput interface mode, or have a controller that uses DirectInput (rather than XInput).

Raid on Bungeling Bay 3D Gameplay

Awesome! The jets taking off and fighting off the jets were my favorite part of the gameplay.

Nice job!  Really cool stuff!  Amazing you did all this with libGDX!
