Did some prototype work using Godot Game engine. Main goal was to determine performance characteristics. Expect better looking visuals with improved performance.
Moving to Godot game engine will provide :
- Better performance even with 5x higher triangle counts, which means better looking 3D models.
- Better lighting and shadows.
- 5-10x faster development time.
- Future proof technology (with Vulkan vs. OpenGL, which is end of life)
